Los Angeles Angels manager Ron Washington met with the media on Monday in Nashville where the Winter Meetings are taking place, and one of his comments regarding Shohei Ohtani’s free agency watch raised all kinds of alarm bells for Halo fans: “I don’t have much to say about that yet, because I don’t want to let anything out of the bag.” So, what did he mean by that, as he smiled coyly at the camera? It’s time to SPECULATE WILDLY about what’s in the bag in segment 1!
Then, given what happened with Wash yesterday afternoon, Angel fans were no doubt excited about the comment, though they did raise concerns about the Angels’ ability to be competitive if they are paying Shohei Ohtani a really high salary each year. So, the Super Halo Bros. are addressing these concerns, not to say that they’re right or wrong, but to demonstrate how things could be different for the Halos this time around.
