Ohtani also addressed questions about whether his blister affected his pitch selection, saying he did not feel it significantly limited him during the outing.
Looking back, he admitted he may have benefited from using his splitter more often, but felt confident enough in his fastball to continue attacking hitters.
The Dodgers superstar also discussed working with a new catcher for the first time, noting there were more sign changes than usual as they continue building chemistry.
