Roberts revealed that imaging showed no structural damage in Ohtani’s knee.
“There were no findings.”
The Dodgers manager explained that the swelling appears to be normal wear and tear rather than a specific injury.
Roberts added that Ohtani’s range of motion remains good and that the decision to keep him out of the lineup was largely precautionary following travel and recent workload.
“My hope is that he’s in there tomorrow.”
The Dodgers manager also said he fully expects Ohtani to make his scheduled pitching start on Wednesday unless something changes.
Roberts emphasized that the organization does not view the issue as an injured list situation and believes it can be managed moving forward.
