Dave Roberts provided significant pregame updates on Shohei Ohtani, Andy Pages, Edwin Díaz and Blake Snell.
Roberts said Ohtani has resumed progressing and should advance to coach-pitch batting practice this week. Ohtani is no longer experiencing pain, and a return during the regular season remains possible. However, Roberts said Ohtani must continue rebuilding strength in his knee, arm and biceps before he is cleared to play.
Pages is also progressing quickly. Roberts said it is “very likely” that Pages will be activated during the upcoming homestand without first going on a minor-league rehab assignment.

Roberts said Ohtani’s recovery reports have been positive, but no specific return date has been established.
