Shohei Ohtani hurt his knee and his right biceps, threw his last pitch in early July, and then went 58 days without a home run. By October the Dodgers were talking about sitting him. He answered with a three-run homer against Milwaukee, but the Brewers swept LA anyway and ended the three-peat.
He still finished with 30 home runs and a 1.79 ERA, so talent isn’t the question. The question is whether his body can keep up with being a two-way player.
